What you should know before you go…..

You have probably already “surfed the internet” and have been tossed from site to site looking at all the major name brand products and all they have to offer.  With all that knowledge, you still may not have all the answers to your questions. 
Here are a few questions that you should ask your sales person and tips that you may find helpful in your pursuit of that perfect floor.

What questions you should ask…..

• Will there be a fee charged for an in-home measurement? If yes, what is the cost of this service, and will they apply a credit, for the amount of this fee, if I make a purchase?
• Does the estimate include both material and Labor? If not, what is the cost and procedures for this service?
• Do you have Guarantees and/or Warranties on the products and installation?
• Is the padding and /or underlayment that you offer, recommended for this product?
• Are all installation materials that you offer, recommend for the installation, by the manufacturers?
• Do you provide removal and disposal of existing products? If yes, what is the cost of this service?
• Will you move the furniture? If yes, what is the cost of this service?
• Are there samples I can take home?
• How long will it take to have this product installed?

A few good tips……

• If you are looking to replace your old carpet with new carpet, you should look at the different types of carpet pads that are offered, especially if you have pets and/or kids, you should ask about Moisture Barrier Padding.
• If you are not sure what type of flooring you are going to purchase, you may want to bring any visual aids you may have…i.e. Pillows, bedspreads, paint colors.
• Have the measurements for the rooms that you are considering for new flooring with you when shopping.
